What Did Your Ancestors Do?

  • Ate traditional foods specific to the region they lived

  • Stayed close to the area they inhabited and hunted and gathered food according to the seasons

  • Ate whole foods in their natural state and consumed every part of the animal especially fat and organ meats for their nutrient dense qualities

  • Fermented foods to increase the nutritional content, bioavailability, and gut benefits

What is my ancestry?

- Look into your family history online or complete the 23andMe genetic testing.

- Ask your parents or grandparents where their ancestors are from. Then use this map  to get an idea of foods from that region.

- If you were adopted, then you may have met someone that seems familiar to you and you can ask them their heritage. Perhaps your adopted parents can tell you more about your family origins.

    - Or you can look in the mirror to see if you have any Asian, European, Scandinavian, or African characteristics.
